You can also do this with the layout xml, its probably the easiest and safest way as changing core blocks is very risky when it comes to upgrading.
Look in catalog.xml, look for:

inside this block tag there some example actions that have been commented out, add the following new action:

Aha! Question answered by reading manual (how would have guessed?). Thanks anyway. Now I have to figure out why my new store name is not appearing in the confirmation e-mail….

Thank you, David Dripps, for pointing to the Transaction Emails. However, the Magento Demo I am using does not show any of the templates they are using. Under Sales Emails it says it is using “Default Template from Locale.” Can anyone tell me where I would find this template so that I can edit it? I would appreciate the guidance– thanks!

Hi,

we tried exactly the same on our online hammock shop. But we got an IE8 error. According to the addthis forum many have this problem - i guess you’ll have the same. They said they’ll fix it with their next release on 20.10.2009
