I would also like to take this time to announce the relaunch of Orange County Chinese-American Chamber of Commerce (OCCACC.ORG) web site. It is a web site dedicated to developing Chinese-American commerce by providing assistance in business management business operation, trade materials, and business experience.

Please send any questions and feedback related to the web site to me. Thanks.

I would like to announce the relaunch of our fast-growing 52my.info web site. It is a “chinese-craigslist” for the Chinese community in Southern California. With a rapid growing user base we will be expanding into other cities soon!
The web site has been completely rewritten with ASP.NET 3.5 & C#, and a lot of ajaxy features have been thrown in to make the user-interface more friendly then what it was before. So far the feedback has been mostly positive, but we are always gathering new feedback and trying to improve on the site.

If you can read Chinese, please visit the site and provide me with some feedback! Constructive criticisms are welcomed too!!

Came across the news release on Magento’s blog with the release of Magento 1.3 Download here
One of the most coveted feature is now available: Customer Upload of Files. I can see many uses for this feature, and I will definitely take advantage of this feature in my next project. But I won’t actually touch 1.3 for awhile, or atleast after I hear other people’s feedback on this update.

Having used so much open source stuff to build my project…it’s finally time for me to give back to the community. I have recently deployed my Chinese blog blog.52my.info using the original Oriental theme built by http://pure-essence.net/, but thought the layout was inadequate for displaying ads, so I have expanded the original design and made it into 3-columns in which the right side bar is now dedicated for ads.
Anyone interested in the 3-column oriental theme can download here. I am not sure yet what the proper etiquette is for mod’ing someone else’s work and redistributing it, but if someone uses this and notices that i am not properly giving credit, please let me know. I want to know so that I can make more contributions the right way in the future.
Trying something new here as well. If you like the template, you can also donate and encourage me to create more free templates for the community.

Just tried to do some research online this morning…and none of the search result came back legit from Google. All the search results when you clicked into it showed

“Warning - visiting this web site may harm your computer!”
Something is terribly wrong at google. Did some researching online by visiting Techcrunch.com, and it appears to be a wide-spread issue…globally with people from Thailand reporting same problem. Yikes.
UPDATE: Google appears to have fixed this when i just checked now (8:00AM). Maybe google is in the process of launching some new services…something security-related i am speculating…

The partners at Demesh Studio have decided to part ways, and one of the original founder, Jerry Lee will form a new company “Casual Commerce, Inc.” to take over all the ongoing projects and inherit all existing Demesh Studio customers. The demesh.com name will be rolled into Casual Commerce and be repurposed for a future project. Stay tuned…
